The Insure Georgia Initiative (Insure Georgia) was formed as a focused initiative by Community Health Works (CHW), a community based, nonprofit charity.  Insure Georgia’s sole purpose is to help Georgians gain access to high quality, affordable healthcare.  We do this as part of CHW’s mission to improve the health of the communities that we serve. We know that only with access to quality healthcare can the health of Georgia thrive.  Insure Georgia received significant funding from the United State Department of Health and Human Services, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in support of this effort.  This funding ended September 12, 2018.

Insure Georgia has provided in-person, telephone, and virtual assistance to a wide array of Georgians in their quest to gain access to care.  We have done this work by remaining absolutely vendor and politically neutral.   We do not receive any money or commissions from any insurance companies that participate in the Marketplace.  We champion the successes of the Affordable Care Act while responsibly acknowledging its short falls.  The way we see it, politics play no part in us helping Georgians get access to the best healthcare available to them.  We also assist Georgians with Medicaid, Medicare, PeachCare for Kids, and veterans’ benefits.

As our team transitions after the conclusion of federal funding, Insure Georgia will continue to work tirelessly to assist Georgians gain access to care.  This work may take new and different approaches as in-person navigation assistance is no longer feasible.  Our telephone assistance center remains available at 866-988-8246.  A trained patient navigator can assist you explore your options for care.  Options may include Marketplace coverage, Medicaid, Medicare, Veterans Benefits, nontraditional medical expense sharing programs (Medi-Share), care from a Federally Qualified Health Center, or care from another safety-net provider.  Our staff is highly trained, compassionate, and are available to assist you.
